The Akron Municipal Court hereby issues public notice that the Court proposes the following changes to the Schedule of Court Fees and Costs for Probation Supervision Fees effective July 1, 2023:

Pursuant to ORC 2951.021(A)(1) the Court required beginning in January 1, 2006 any offender placed under community control sanction (probation) under ORC 2929.26, 2929.27 or 2929.28 to pay a monthly fee of ten dollars ($10.00) to be collected by the Clerk of Courts and deposited int the Probation Services Fund created pursuant to ORC 737.41.

It is hereby Ordered by Majority Vote of the Akron Municipal Court Judges that the Schedule of Court Fees and Costs under 1901.26 be modified to increase the Probation Supervision Fee to twenty dollars ($20.00) per month effective July 1, 2023.

The Akron Municipal Court will accept public comments until June 30, 2023.  You may submit comments, in writing, on the proposed rule by Friday, June 30, 2023 to: Akron Municipal Court, 217 South High Street, Room 713, Akron Ohio 44308 or court@akronohio.gov.
